Rotary Shafts Engineered for OEMs and Industrial Distributors

AMPG is a trusted U.S. manufacturer of high-quality rotary shafts designed for the performance, precision, and scalability that OEMs and industrial distributors demand.

A rotary shaft, also known as a shaft and a rotational shaft, is a mechanical component used to transmit rotary motion or torque in machines and mechanical systems. Unlike a linear shaft that moves objects in a straight line, forward and/or backward, a rotary shaft facilitates reliable rotational motion. Rotary shafts are used with pulleys, gears, sprockets & bearings. It is important to consider the shaft’s surface finish and hardness, which can affect bearing wear and life. The smoother the finish, the less friction it will create. Shafts with chamfered edges reduce damage to other components at installation. Shaft can be modified to suit application: keyed, stepped, internally threaded (tapped), externally threaded, D-profile & grooved.
