There are two primary military specifications for precision shoulder screws which have both been cancelled (MS-51575: superseded by NASM51575; and MS-51576A: superseded by NASM51576).

USSS stocks a line of Mil-Spec parts manufactured to MS-51575, with complete certifications, including DFARS compliance. MS-51575 calls out a slotted head design with course threads and non-ferrous material (18-8/303SS). MS-51576 calls out a socket head, hexagon design with corrosion-resistant steel.
